I’m currently working on making my Philips 7″ screen that was intended for the back of a car headrest to work as my 16×9 Monitor for my Canon HDV XH-G1 Camera.
Then, I can avoid having to use the smaller built-in screen that it comes with.

Smallville
Warning. Possible Spoilers (via my conjectures on the latest episodes I’ve seen).
Ok. I’m an avid Smallville watcher. I’ve been watching since Season 1. I have watched as eight years of my life has flown by waiting for the ‘Man to become Legend.’
This season, I’ve been expecting the writers to finally tie up all of the loose ends and do a series finale worthy of so many years of dedicated viewing!
Doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen. I am seeing way too many hints that there is going to be a season 9. And, from the way things are going… i’m guessing that Allison Mack isn’t returning.
You see, Chloe has been harboring Clarks greatest enemy: Doomsday. We don’t know why yet. It could be that she’s in love with Davis Bloome (Doomsday), or she is trying to calm they beast that could kill Clark. Either way, I hate it. I am revolting as I watch Smallville. I want to throw things at my television. Perhaps this emotion is what the writers wish to get out of us. I, for one, am promising that if they keep this up, I will not watch Season 9. I think that Chloe has to die. It explains why the writers are ok with allowing us to hate her character. I , quite frankly, am tired of this love/hate relationship that we viewers have had with Chloe Sullivan over the years. And, I truly hate that they have written such a beloved character into such an abysmal place that could cause us to re-hate her all over again.
The other thing is this: Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor) , John Glover (Lionel Luthor), Annette O’Toole (Mrs. Kent), Laura Vandervoort (Supergirl), Kristin Kreuk
(Lana Lang), and John Schneider (Jonathan Kent) are all missing. They’ve been killed, or gone AWOL.
Writers writers writers! Don’t they recall anything about past tv shows? If the actors are no longer there, wrap it up! Think Sliders! Remember how dumb that show became (one can argue that it was already dumb even with Jerry O’Connell at the helm) when neither of the O’Connells were in the show anymore?
Some shows died prematurely (Remember: Roswell, with only 3 seasons and a terrible finale that had fans writhing in pain for more). And, then there are those shows like Smallville that have overstayed their welcome.
All that I’m asking is this…. MAKE HIM SUPERMAN ALREADY. Then, Season 9 could’ve been ‘Metropolis’ or ‘Superman’ or ‘The Legend of Cal-el’ or something!
I’m so tired of ‘no tights, no flights.’ Really! I’m exhausted. I invested so much time into this series. And, I now feel betrayed by the producers, writers, etc. You are now trying to take advantage of us all instead of repaying us with a dénouement that we so deserve.

FireWIRE!!!
Ultimately, this is a laptop for aesthetics and everyone else can
just wait for the Macbook Pro that is forthcoming.
I mean, think about it... multitouch pad means and new MB and MBP are
coming with those same features.... and I think it's possible that the
macbook/macbook pro might be in for a redesign. Nothing like the
'Air', but thin is in .... and we can expect new portables within
weeks. Probably sometime after the Air is shipped and beyond return
date (14 days).
That awful keyboard means this really isn't the successor to the 12"
Powerbook. This is not part of the pro line.
I think this leaves room for a Macbook Pro Tablet. After all, tablet
features are not for everyone. Only those who need it for lectures
and some other non-common uses. I.E. Dental Students taking
important medical notes over PDFS during lecture (my wife has a R200
Windows tablet (Thanks alot Apple!!).
Inkwell, Apple, Inkwell! When are you going to make it a useful
builtin feature .... 
So, Apple went ahead and silently upgraded the the Macbook and Macbook Pro.I have been waiting for the updates since many of my friends and associates have been asking about when to buy a mac.I have to say, I am more than a little disappointed with Apple.There have been rumors that the Macbook was due for a redesign.
And, I agree since the Macbook design was a rip-off of the old iBook design which was introduced on May 1st, 2001. And, it is long overdue for an overhaul. Not to mention that the Macbook chassis is alot weaker and gets dirtier than the original iBook.
So, what’s the deal Apple? Where’s the newly redesigned Macbook? And for that matter, where is the long-awaited Macbook Thin? Also, where’s the Mac Tablet!?
I’m am hoping and speculating (I guess I really have too much confidence in Apple being the old Apple) that this silent update means an announcement soon of a new device. I figure, you release a speed bump without any fanfare.And, then that leaves the new product to hold the spotlight. Correct?

Someone help! well, i used the TIFF thing, and i used iPhuc and did the 3 power downs thing. Now, I have an iPod Touch that does NOT show any of my music or images… everything else works. Also, now there is a file in the directory of the ipod called com.apple.itunes.lock_sync I think this is some file itunes must’ve put in somehow. Plus, iTunes does not want to restore my ipod (error -18) Is there a way i can restore my ipod touch. This is my precious! I can still double click iphuc and i get access to my ipod , but i dont’ know my left from my right in this! I was too quick to play!
I never thought I’d actually be where I am tonight. I’ve been an avid Apple consumer since 1998 when I bought my first Mac from a thrift store (Quadra 605). I loved that machine. And, from using that Mac, I fast became a ‘Mac User.’ I constantly found myself upgrading to the latest hardware, bought programs, etc. Since then, I’ve been the unofficial Apple Marketing one-man team. I’ve gotten friends, family members, and sometimes complete strangers to switch to Mac. I think it’s possible I’ve convinced over 50 people to either stay Mac or switch to Mac.
Well, starting tonight, I am disgruntled. This Unoffical Apple Marketing Team has just closed shop.So, what was that ‘last straw’?I recently purchased the third generation Nano. I also bought the iPod Touch.Today, I purchased Griffin’s Air Dock video iPod Dock for a low $34.99 from Target. I was happy that it was so cheap, and it comes with a remote and video cable! Much to my disappointment, the VIDEO-OUT does not work!Well, it seems that Apple DEACTIVATED that feature from all new iPods. You cannot TURN ON Video Out on the Nano’s menu because the new Nano has a software lock that only allows video out with the latest Apple hardware (namely their new component dock and a handful of new Apple Certified equipment).
So, that was the last straw. Here are the other ‘straws’ :iPod Classic also does not Video-Out unless you have $50 for that cable or $99 for the dock.iPod Touch lacks all the programs that the iPhone has (Because AT&T now has Apple obeying them)iPod Touch also requires new dockiPod Touch does not mount on desktop Ringtones cost an additional .99¢ (that’s $1.99 total to buy a song AND to make a ringtone out of music you OWN!!!!!!! ) No removeable batteries on iPods (might be an aesthetic choice, but now I’m starting to doubt that) Sucky Selection of Movies in their Movie Store because Hollywood is also evil, but still… Apple, your video selection sucks. You need to compromise some on how much you want. DRM (sorry, this belongs here too because even though I am against illegal downloading, this is fast becoming a hardship for RIGHTFUL use of music we paid for!!!) I’ll leave it there, there are some bigger offenses i’m forgetting, but let me get to the crux:How did Apple become what we all hate?
Well, in the past, products changed because of innovation. That came at a price, as with all computer makers, Moore’s Law went into effect. Old hardware was left in the dust, new hardware was constantly introduced. But, i’m starting to believe that this isn’t the only thing factoring in for Apple anymore. Now, innovation is constantly mingled in with greed.
“Hey, hey, Steve… how about if we make the new iPods incompatible with the older accessories.” “Why, what are you getting at Phil?” “Well, think about it. We have the world under our spell. They love our products! They can’t get enough of our technology. Now, what are they going to care if we make a new dock. They’ll just see it as a necessary upgrade. Meanwhile, we make a whole new $99 off of everyone who wants it” ”Yea. That’s great Phil, I like that idea. I love money, my God!” “Mmmm. Money.” ”Hey, while we are at it, why don’t we also downgrade the iPod Touch’s features. That way, if someone wants to use the Mail app that’s already on the iPhone, they have to also buy the iPhone!!” Phil smiles, “Man! forget Money. I love you Steve!”
This is an image of my iPod Touch appearing in iPhoto, Aperture, and Image Capture. Is there anything that can be done with this? Is there some way to Mount the iPod Touch on the desktop like the regular iPods? I tried dragging photos into the iPod, and of course that didn’t work. It almost acts like I can drag photos out of it, though.
